The world has not entirely believed that "being Oromo" and "becoming
Oromo" have been crimes in the Ethiopian Empire - until the Aftermath of
the June 25th episode of Al-Jazeera's 'The Stream' program. In the
Aftermath, the right-wing Neftegna and supporters of the current Fascist
regime made a quick alliance to discredit
the Al-Jazeera program, and the right-wing Neftegna has continued its
criminalization of "being Oromo firstly and proudly." Articles after
articles have been written by these right-wing Neftegna supporters thus
far - all have one thing in common, they consider "being Oromo firstly
and proudly" illegal - just like they used to operate the Empire for 100
years until their reign ended with their defeat in 1991. Of course, the
current Fascist regime also criminalizes "being Oromo firstly and
proudly," and the evidence for this is the fact that the prisons and the
refugee-camps speak Afan Oromo.
Even on the June 25th episode,
the Al-Jazeera moderators were shocked to learn that "being Oromo" was
the only reason why so many young Oromo men and women had been jailed
for and/or had been forced to exile - the moderators were listening to
these Oromo stories in disbelief. In the Aftermath of the June 25th
Al-Jazeera Program, the biggest story of the Al-Jazeera program - that
most Oromos in prison are there simply because they are Oromos - has
been proven true. Just look at how the Neftegna and the Woyane camps
continue to criminalize "being Oromo firstly and proudly" in the
Diaspora - far away from their Evil Ethiopian Empire.
